課程概述

Dutch (II) Intermediate follows on from Dutch (I) for Beginners. During the fall semester students will work through units 1-5 of the course book Totaal 2. Topics include work, media and culture, technology and social networking. As in Totaal 1, the method focuses on building up practical communicative skills, to which now practical writing skills are added. Themes centering on Dutch culture and society are introduced in each unit. In addition students will give two presentations on cultural themes of their choice in class during the semester, which together account for 20% of the semester score. Students will also be working increasingly with authentic Dutch audio-visual input from the internet. 

課程目標
Students will be working at A2 level of the Common European Framework of References. Communicative competence at A2 means the ability to understand phrases and commonly used expressions of immediate importance, including personal information, family, shopping, and work. The speaker is able to communicate with a degree of competence in everyday situations about familiar, everyday topics. The speaker is also able to describe aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and express needs. 
課程要求
Students must have either taken Dutch I, or otherwise show evidence that their Dutch language proficiency is at A2 level of the Common European Framework of References.
